Believers and Seekers of the truth!

Do you see the signs of God's appointed times?  And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.   As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. (Luke 21:29-31)

Did you know that the first coming of the Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled 3 of 7 Jewish holy feasts to the day which were ordained by God Himself thousands of years ago?   These first 3 appointed times were fulfilled in the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord!    The disciples were then told to wait for the next Holy event which then occurred on what day?    On the very day of the 4th appointed feast (Pentecost) the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the Believers!    Yes, indeed these four epic events (giving us the gospel) occurred exactly on the Hebrew calendar dates of the first 4 holy feasts which God had ordained thousands of years earlier!

Are you aware that His remaining 3 holy appointed times (fulfilling the promise of His return visitation) always occur in the fall and that these parallel the remaining, expected events for the church on this earth?    The next event prophesied over the second coming of Christ, and yet to be fulfilled, is the rapture of the Church.    Is it not possible we will hear the Lord's shout through the trumpet sound during the very next appointed time, the Feasts of the Trumpets (whether this year, or another) which by the way is ordained to be celebrated over a 3 day period (at which Christ could appear any day or any hour)?   "For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first." (I Thess 4:16)    Believers and Seekers, let us ever say in agreement with what is written, "Even so, come Lord Jesus."  Learn More About the Feasts

Feasts of the Lord

Four of the seven holidays occur during the spring and summer.   The first four feasts (Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, and Pentecost) have already been fulfilled by Christ in the New Testament.   The final three holidays ( Rosh Hashanna, Yom Kippur, and Feast of the Tabernacles) occur during the fall within a brief fifteen-day period.

These fall feasts in the fulfillmennt of Christ's second coming have not yet transpired; however, with absolute certainty these events most assuredly will unfold.   As the four spring feasts (holidays) were fulfilled literally and right on schedule in connection with Christ's first coming, these three fall feasts (holidays) will likewise be fulfilled literally and right on schedule in connection to the Lord's second coming.  IMPORTANT: the upcoming Feast of the Trumpets does occur over a 3 day period in which "no one knows the day or the hour"

These final three feasts form the basis for what the Bible calls in Titus 2:13: "the blessed hope."

To summarize, these seven feasts of the Lord were and remain God's appointed times during which He meets with men for holy purposes.   As Jesus fulfilled the first four of the seven feasts given to Israel to celebrate at His first coming the rest of the feast will be fulfilled at the time of His second coming.   When completed, these seven special holidays will triumphantly not only bring an end to this age, but usher in a glorious new age where Christ will fulfill all He has spoken in His Word to us.   Feasts of the Lord: "These are the appointed times of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at the times appointed for them (Leviticus 23:4)".

ImportantHow Christ's second coming fulfill the fall feasts.

The Feast of Trumpets, the first of these is for a 3 day period and begins the 10 days of the fall feasts.    The playing of the "shofar" trumpet produces a distinct sound of attention with a call to self-examination.    It is no coincidence that every verse on the rapture refers to the trumpet call of God being sounded.   He will "meet us in the air" and call us home with Him.

The Day of Atonement, the second of these is for a 7 day period.    The missing 70th week of Daniel, i.e. the Great Tribulation occuring for 7 years on earth are analagous to this feast.    Those left behind will endure much suffering as God judges the earth with seals.    Meanwhile, the raptured church will be involved in the "Bema Seat", the judgment hall of the saints where our sins forgiven and removed, yet it remains that our works performed here on earth simply be "tried by fire" to see if they were of God or not.   Believers here will receive "rewards", including positions "reigning with Him" in the next feast, if their works stand (coming forth like gold and silver).   Christians will suffer "loss of rewards" if our works perish (wood, hay and stubble) and it is thought "there will be crying and gnashing of teeth" as we perceive what holy lives we could have lived in the truth.

The Feast of Tabernacles, the third of the fall feasts and the final of the 7 is a time of great celebration and will begin when Christ returns with His saints to earth at the end of the tribulation.    He will reign here for 1000 years.    During his reign the "lion will lie down with the lamb" and He will turn "swords into plowshares".    "Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord".

Important5 Reasons Why These Feasts Are Important

1 - These seven feasts were given to the Hebrew (Jewish) nation of Israel by God as a covenant with a command to keep these in remembrance of Him.

2 - They typify the timing, sequence, and significance of the major events of the Lord's redemptive career.   They begin at Calvary where Jesus voluntarily laid down His life for the sins of mankind (symbolic of Passover) and end when the Lord establishes His messianic Kingdom at His second coming (symbolic of Tabernacles).   God in His infinite wisdom made these appointed feasts conform to specific events in the life of His Son Jesus Christ (Yeshua).

3 - Since these feasts are clearly fulfilled in Messiah, every creature is presented the unique opportunity to "meet" with God and receive His gracious blessings.

4 - There is a binding relationship between the true Church and Israel even though both are distinct entities with diverse promises.   Thanks to the Abrahamic, Davidic, and New Covenants which God made with Israel, the blessings stemming from these feasts are no longer exclusive to the Jewish people alone but are extended to the Gentiles as well, for God's unconditional covenant with Abraham promised that "In thy (Abraham's) seed shall all nations be blessed" (Genesis 22:18).

5 - There are a total number of seven feasts of the Lord. Seven is the biblical number for completion.   It is recorded in Genesis chapter one that God rested on the seventh day after creating the heavens and the earth, not due to fatigue but rather to emphasize completion and satisfaction.   What God created was "good" and "satisfying"; therefore nothing else was needed.
