The Trillion Dollar Question
Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here's a quick test.
Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, used God's name in vain? How about envying another persons possessions? Ever fail to honor your mother and mother? Jesus said "Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Have you looked with lust?
If you're a nice person, won't a loving God pardon you.
God, in giving His 10 commandmandments set the criteria for His own courtroom. When you stand before a judge and are found guilty violation(s), does that judge pardon you on the basis that you're a pretty nice person. No. He may even like you (and God loves you) but isn't the penalty written down.
Will you be guilty on judgment day?
If you have done those things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in hell. That's not God's will. For God is not willing... He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. You broke God's law. But Jesus paid your fine. That means He can legally dismiss your case. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."Then He rose from the dead and defeated death.
We have all sinned and deserve God's judgment.
But Jesus Christ can commute your guilty sentence by substitution.God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
Please repent (turn from sin) today and trust alone in Jesus, and God will grant you the gift of everlasting life. You can receive His gift of forgiveness and promise of His resurrected life!
